Meet the Israeli-Palestinian Chef Duo Behind Berlin's Innovative Hummus Joint Kanaan in Berlin, Germany. Chef Oz and Jalil both realized it wasn’t right for them to open a restaurant which would only satisfy the Israeli or Palestinian side. Instead, they are promoting peace and unity and had to find a way to cook food that could keep both of their parents pleased if they sat down to eat.
